From: Miami, FL
With, what is now, a long history of shutting down shows, MC Jumanji of American Grime is reaching the levels he set out to accomplish.
The notches in his belt include Outlook Festival in Pula, Croatia, Ultra Music Festival in Miami, FL, SXSW in Austin, TX, UK Radio tours with Sir Spyro and Rudekid, storied venues such as Denver’s Black Box, London’s FabricLive and New York’s Webster Hall and many many more.
With his residency on Mode Radio London, alongside fellow DJ Brightwing, Jumanji continues to lead the ever-evolving American sound, bringing fans to their unique take on the UK bass genres.
His catalog is growing with releases such as the Close Curtains EP, to singles like Finesse and Fuck It. His relentless pace both in his music and about his music has created a mature sound that brings his audience on his growth as an artist.
Originally from Novato, California, Brightwing of American Grime, has been producing and perfecting his own blend of music since 2011. Following his first big release in 2016 he played Okeechobee Music Festival as well as Fractal Beach, which he returned for in 2018. He was also featured at Sub.Culture Music Festival in 2021. At the time he was finishing up his degree in Music Business, had an opportunity to do an internship with label American Grime and today he can be found continuing to grow with the label and showcase his Deep Dubstep sound in South Florida.
Sharing a stage with names like legendary Joe Nice, Truth, and Commodo, he has tried his hand with various genres outside his own- including Drum and Bass, and House. His tinkering in and the fine tuning of elements from multiple genres has led to sharing billings with tons of other influential artists, such as Khiva, Squarewave and ill.Gates, as well as AtYya and Otto Von Schirach.
From coast to coast, Brightwing has definitely delivered on his distinct sound, and will no doubt continue to do so into 2024 and beyond.
