This project was created in Bogota, Colombia in 2014 and is directed by MC and cultural manager Steve Mendez, AKA “SURO”. Currently located in Chicago, Mundo Sur has worked since its inception in the hip hop and underground scenes. Throughout its history, the most significant work has been weaving a network of global collectivity that has allowed us to take our music to different places around the world and share the message of the vibrant ghettos of the global south.
